July 9 was the perfect day for solar car racing over at the Queen's Eco-Adventure camp located on Elbow Lake! We built different types of solar cars using our new & donated SunWind Solar car kits and then had a blast racing them out in the sun.
Campers were grouped into teams of 2-3, and each team designed a slightly different car so we could compare how they held up in the race. A few of them needed some nudges, some of them went really fast, and all of them needed some help staying on course! Overall, it was a lot of fun.
The team really recommends the SunWind Solar car kits for any educators looking to enhance a workshop, activity or lesson about solar energy. They were so easy to work with!
