WHAT WE DO
The Queen's Solar Design Team hosts donation-based, personalized workshops for Kingston youth and adult groups, open doors events and private tours of the QSEC throughout the year.
Common themes throughout all of our events include sustainability and innovative design engineering.
“We joined the QSDT team for a tour of the autonomous house for our departmental retreat. Jackie and his team were extremely informative in telling us what they have done in the house so far and what the vision is for the future. The journey that has been the Queen’s Solar Design team (starting with a car, and now developing this house) is nothing short of amazing. We learned about the different ways the harnessed solar energy can be used, and the surprising ways one can create a net zero living environment. I am still amazed at the plan of wanting to grow potatoes under the porch. The session was extremely informative and we all enjoyed the tour very much, I highly recommend planning a visit with the Queen’s Solar Design team.”
